Drug reprofiling is the identification and development of new indications for existing drugs and forms part of routine lifecycle management strategy in the pharmaceutical industry. Opportunities also exist to reprofile off-patent drugs.
a2sp is using its proprietary Magic Tag® technology to screen existing drugs for novel reprofiling opportunities. Our technology enables rapid and cost-effective screening of drugs against the proteomes of human tissues in order to identify novel drug-protein interactions of potential therapeutic signficance.
We are also interested in discovery collaborations with pharmaceutical companies wishing to explore reprofiling opportunities drugs that are stalled in clinical phase for reasons other than safety/toxicity.
